Cold City Morning
Cold City Morning
United States
An early, cold February morning in New York. In for a day full of meetings, but not willing to trade the sunrise for an hour more sleep...
Flow of Light
Flow of Light
United States
Underground, in the canyon washed out by millions of years. The sunlight paints patterns on the walls, and the rest of the world seems very far away.

View over the bay, a sea of golden yellow, shortly before sunset. We have been warned, being out on the streets after dark in Salvador, Brazil.
Schrammsteine
Schrammsteine
Germany

Five days of rain, mist and grey skies in an autumnal Swiss Saxony. A photographic nightmare. And then, one afternoon, the sun comes out, into a brief misty sunset. Now time is of essence.

Steyr
Steyr
Austria - 04.10.2010
Water has moved this city from time immemorial. Route of transport for trade in iron, power source for the craftsmen who brought riches and prosperity to the city. An important city in medieval times it has preserved it's romantic center into modern times.
Schloss Brühl
Schloss Brühl
Germany - 13.02.2011
A monument of overwhelming beauty and pomp, built on debt and rarely used by it's owner; a last rococo statement before time overturned the old order of things...
Berlin
Berlin
Germany - 09.11.2008
A regular city gate, one out of 18 surrounding the city, turned into a main national symbol of Berlin and Germany. Somehow it was always in the center of events, saw revolutions, demonstrations, war, separation and reunion, it wore the red flag, saw presidents and parties.
Lego City
Lego City
Germany - 06.08.2002
A very special, very dear place - Lego City, the place where all the little Legomen and women live and where the Lego bricks are manufactured. I'd wish I could live there :-)
Pergamon-Museum
Pergamon-Museum
Germany - 22.01.2012
The Pergamon Museum is the star of Berlin's Museum Island. The Pergamon houses original-sized, reconstructed monumental buildings excavated in Babylon, Uruk, Assur, Miletus, Priene and Egypt by German archeologists in the late 19th century and transported to Berlin. The museum is named after the Great Altar of Pergamon, a massive stone podium about one hundred feet long and thirty-five feet high, that has been rebuilt in the main hall and can be entered by the visitors. Until September 2012 the museum also hosts the fantastic Asisi panorama of Pergamon, and the hall of statues has been (finally!) dramatically refurbished too - it's definitively worth a visit...
Koblenz
Koblenz
